Your Photoshoot

On the Day

I start as early as possible to make the most of the day, usually around 9am if I’m doing a full day’s shoot.

This gives me the opportunity to provide you with the best selection of new images possible.

I am used to working around guest arrivals, so if the house is booked later the same day, then I can work with your change over staff to get the shoot done without any disruption.

Each room is left clean, tidy and exactly as I find it.

I photograph as many angles as possible in each room, and then shoot lifestyle/close up images.

Lifestyle images really show off the character of your property and are ideal for your website and particularly for social media such as Facebook and Instagram.

Props & setting up.

I bring along a selection of props including small artificial flowers, fruit, cookies, cake, newspapers, magazines and books

These will make the rooms look cosy, inviting, relaxed and appealing to your guests.

There's no need to light the fire as this will be added in photoshop during the post processing stage.

Sometimes I'll include a breakfast tray in the room.

A few suggested items could include orange juice, croissants coffee pot, mugs, jam, fresh fruit.

I'll discuss this with you prior to the photoshoot shoot.

After the Shoot

Following the shoot, your photos go into the processing stage where I do all the hard work to make them perfect for you.

This includes mixing the natural light into the flashed images, re-adding ambiance where it's needed, adding in your nice views, fire to your fireplace or log burner, making the TV's look perfect and adding any sky replacements to the exterior shots if the shoot was on dull and cloudy day. And finally sharpening, boosting your new images ready to "wow" your guests.

This normally takes as long as the shoot itself and is all included in the cost.

As soon as your new images are ready, I upload them to my own WeTransfer.com channel where you can download them at your own convenience.

You’ll receive an email with a secure link to download the images. Please note they cannot be downloaded to a smart phone or tablet.

You can also forward the WeTransfer email onto your website developer and other parties so they can download the images too Each image is named so it's easier to reference. i.e Old_Cottage_001, 002, 003 etc.

Social Media

Social media is a massive source for potential customers, and for almost any business these days.

Instagram alone has 1 billion monthly active users.

Our shoot will give you plenty of extra images for your campaigns which can help draw customers to your website or booking portals to make bookings.

I also offer free advice to my all clients to help them get started and make it as effortless as possible.

Cost and payment

Prices for photoshoots are always agreed in advance. My fees are totally inclusive and you won’t be surprised by any hidden extras afterwards.

I don’t ask for any up-front payment, but I do ask that invoices are settled by BACS payment on receipt of the images.

After service

Once your shoot is complete and you have your new images, I am always available for further help or support with your images, if needed.

This includes advice on using the images for your marketing and social media, or just a chat about how to get the best from your images to help your business.
